Early Heer Officer’s Dagger by Eickhorn – D1208

For and early 3rd Reich army officer’s dagger, this example is solid all the way through, while remaining basically in an un-touched condition. With a 14-leaf pommel and first  crossguard type, all the fittings on this edged weapon have turned totally black, displaying an even patina over their surfaces. A very nice darker pumpkin grip contrasts the hardware beautifully, while holding the entire hilt totally solid and secure. The convex bands scabbard to this double oval is in excellent condition. As shown, it is almost completely black just like the hilt fittings. The shell has one little lateral ding near the very tip. Like everything else on this edged weapon, the blade remains un-cleaned, void of any buffing, tipping, or polishing. Though there is some surface age, it’s not all that bad for one of these desirable double oval trademarked Heers produced by the Carl Eickhorn edged weapon firm.  $950.00
