Wehrmacht Fighting Knife- D1150

This is a decent example of what collectors sometimes termed the “Luftwaffe fighting knife”. Both oak grip plates are in good shape and tightly riveted to the spine. A very nice scabbard accompanies this knife. The period factory black enamel has held up incredibly well on the shell and rates very strong at 98%. On the reverse the integral hanger spring clips are still uniform and properly tight to the surface of the shell. Lastly the blade. It remains straight, full length, void of sharping and tight within the hilt / grip components. Though it has a little bit of surface age, it is mainly as a result of storage. And finally, this blade is the less frequently encountered with the letter “S” stamped riccasso. $595.00
