Early Nickel Silver SA Dagger by Tiger – D1138

Not only was this Storm Troopers dagger manufactured by a popular as well as favorite edged weapon firm of the collecting community, but it also remains totally un-touched like so many enthusiasts are in search of.

The darker brown handle to this SA remains in very nice condition, void of any major cracks, repairs, or missing chunks of wood. There are a couple small areas of surface flaking, though honestly for such a green edged weapon it certainly is not all that detracting. Both nickel silver emblems consisting of the high neck eagle and SA runic are in fine condition, displaying minimal surface wear to each. And talk about green, take a look at the crossguards and pommel nut on the hilt of this Tiger. As they project the un-touched look which many purists love to find. It goes without saying that nothing has been cleaned on this entire edged weapon for nearly a century.

The scabbard to this dagger is in fine condition. The shell remains straight, void of any major hits, creases, dings, bends, or splits. While the surface is worn as far as the chemical brown process that these scabbards were coated with, it has not been in any way enhanced. Both upper and lower nickel fittings are in excellent shape, and have taken on that beautiful, muted patina exactly matching the hardware fittings on the hilt.

The blade to this Storm Troopers dagger is straight, full length, void of any tipping, sharpening, buffing, cleaning, or cutting-edge chips. There is some surface oxidation which for the most part is confined to the riccasso area probably trapped by the runners. That aside, this blade still projects a beautiful crossgrain both obverse as well as reverse, from hilt to tip. Finally, an absolutely stunning dark Alles fur Deutschland acid etched motto sets the tone for this un-touched edged weapon.

A great looking dagger for the purist collector out there. $1095.00
