3rd Kriegsmarine Dagger by Eickhorn – D1136
Offering a sweet Carl Eickhorn produced 3rd Reich navy dagger in this listing. The off white trolon over wood grip remains in fine condition, being void of any cracks, splits, or missing material. Wrapped around it’s entirety, the double strand twisted decorative wire is all in place. Wrapped around the crossguard in a super tight-laced pattern, is a beautiful toned portapee shown in the photos . This complete hilt is firmly held tight by a beautiful, gilded eagle pommel.
The scabbard to this navy dirk is about as straight as they come. Amazingly, it is void of any hits, dings, creases, bends, or twists. A small amount of gilt still clings to the surface in the band areas. Both of those oak leaf adorned components are securely in place and hold the hanger rings properly. 2 factory dome head screws secure the throat. To top it off the throat of the scabboard is stamped 202 which we see from time to time a some sort of property or accountability number or even a boat number!
As for the blade…………….drop dead, stone mint! The photos show it all.
This is a wonderful straight forward 3rd Reich Kriegsmarine dirk, with a beautiful look to it! $1650.00
