SS Officer’s Runes Tab – C269

This is a very nice hand embroidered bullion sewn runes, right hand collar tab intended to be worn on an SS officer’s tunic. As proper, the runes are stitched over a cardboard template called a unterlagen, all of which is on black wool cloth. The work is very nicely done on this particular example, all the while being symmetrical and tight throughout. The same is true of the piping and the buckram stiffener. Both are fine condition and remain properly in place. The piping and the bullion runic threads are void of any powdering or corrosion, both of which often plague these collar tabs as many collectors know. It is truly hard to find and SS officer runes tab in this market today as nice as the one in this offering.  SOLD
