600mm Rail Eagle by Pinter – G230

Here is a very nice example of a 3rd Reich era railroad eagle, of which souvenir hunting G.I.’s must have found a horde of at the Pinter casting firm after the war. Referred to as the LOK 600, the plaque measures 23 ¾” inches in length (600mm). The obverse projects a fantastic dull aluminum muted appearance over it’s entire surface, as nothing has been cleaned nor polished on this eagle over the years since the war. On the reverse the 4 unfinished studs are present, with the one on the left wing being trimmed down a little bit shorter. The center stud has the inspection stamp 58 struck into it. This is commonly seen with the eagles which this manufacture produced. Additionally as part of the mold the reverse of the eagle is shown with the Pinter PS trademark, size, chemical compound make up, and RZA number. This one has an absolutely stunning, untouched look to it!  SOLD
