3rd Reich Navy Dagger by WKC – D1048

Offering a Nazi period Kriegsmarine dirk, all complete and untouched. The off white Trolon over wood core handle is in good condition, void of any chips, cracks, splits, or missing material. The double strand copper wire is all in place, all snug in the groves of this grip. It’s turned dark with age, as nothing has been cleaned nor polished on this edged weapon since being returned as a souvenir from WWII. The same is true for the heavy brass crossguard and pommel. Both of those components have taken on an attractive patina, highlighting the features each.

An extra cost hammered scabbard accompanies this WKC navy dagger. It is in excellent shape, remaining straight, void of any splits, bends, hits, or dog leg twists. A gorgeous factory gilt graces both the obverse and reverse of this shell. Both oak leaf scabbard bands are firmly in place, and hold the hanger rings properly. 2 side mounted dome head screws secure the throat.

The blade to this dagger like every other component has remained untouched for over ¾ of a century. It is full length, straight, void of any bends, tipping or cutting edge chips. Avowed there is some surface age to the plating which should probably left as is, it goes with the rest of this piece which basically remains uncleaned. That aside, it still has a decent frosted fouled anchor etch shown on both sides.
