3rd Reich M24 Stick Grenade by Rinker – G227

Here is an excellent matching and complete stick grenade which was manufactured by the most notable company to make these explosives, the Richard Rinker firm. The natural grain handle is in good shape, void of any splits, breakage, or missing wood. It has been stamped 42 for the year of production, and brb the code designation for this manufacturing firm. The “can” portion retains excellent period paint, with just mild surface oxidation. The head of it is also stamped 42 brb. It’s a bit difficult to find these souvenirs with matching components. The reason being is when they were disarmed after the WWII, the cans were tossed in one large pile, while the sticks tossed in another. Only later these 2 components matched up again to be taken as souvenirs. They make neat displays all the same, whether matched or not. But it’s a nice little extra to have the components matching in regards to both manufacture and date. The can is completely cut as shown to remove the explosive. As a nice little bonus this M24 comes with the fuse pull string and ceramic ball.   SOLD
