3rd Reich Land Police Sports Shirt – C280
Physical fitness and competition were two concepts which were highly valued in the ideology of the Third Reich. All kinds of sports clubs and organizations flourished in the years before WWII, with larger Reich level organizations supervising athletics all the while promoting events and issuing awards for sport achievement.
This Land Police Sports Shirt is an excellent example in this offering. The shirt itself is a textbook standard issue “tank top” style, which is constructed out of smooth cotton. The fabric while displaying just a few snags and usage wear spots, it remains fairly bright in color for one of these competition uniform tops which often can be quite stained. As shown, the front of the shirt has a large machine applied police patch which displays a wreathed eagle and swastika. This is a very nice example, just showing light age overall. $375.00
