3rd Reich Battle Flag – F189
Offering an excellent German National War Flag in the most desirable size that they were manufactured in during the 3rd Reich era; 50 x 85cm. These 33”x 20” Fahne examples are truly sought after because of being the perfect size to display with any collection no matter what your focus may be. Primarily known and flown aboard E-boats & U-boats when they were docked in harbor, we many time see these small flags shown in period photos and publications. The material on this example is in excellent condition, sans for 3 minor extremely small pin holes which hardly detract. The rest of the material displays just light soiling, consistent for a flag which was actually used during the period. All the proper end stitching is present, as well as the reinforced squares in the corners at the header. The complete intact rope lanyard is present on this flag, with the enclosure strip nicely stamped the following; “ Dt Reichskrieg Fl, 50 x 85. The maker’s stamped is a little smudged, but I’m sure can be identified by the next owner quite easily. A super little Nazi era battle flag! SOLD
