2nd Model Luftwaffe Officer’s Dagger by Holler – D1010

This listing is for a decent solid example of a 2nd model Luft, all untouched. A beautiful toned grip begins the hilt of this edged weapon. While it has turned darker orange on the obverse, the reverse displays more yellow in color. Though void of any major damage or missing material, there are a couple tiny hairline fissures to the Trolon material not all that detracting. Tightly wrapped around the handle is the typical springy decorative wire that this edged weapon firm normally used. All of the hardware components have taken on a dark patina which has settled in the recesses of the eagle, ferrule, and pommel relief designs.

A fine scabbard accompanies this Holler Luft dolch. It remains straight, void of any bends, splits, hits, or dings. As shown, the surface has taken on rich black patina, beautifully matching the hilt components. The lighter aluminum scabbard bands are solid to the shell, and project a neat contrast to this scabbard. A single dome head screw secures the throat.

The blade to this 2nd model is in decent condition. It remains fairly straight, full length, void of any tipping, buffing, or sharpening. The last 2” of the tip has about a 1 degree slight bend as if something were gently pried with it at one time. It’s not all that bad for an edged weapon that otherwise remains untouched. As shown, the surface has some light darkening in spots here and there which is honestly not all that detracting. On the reverse is nicely etched and burnished the thermometer logo of the F.W. Holler edged weapon firm.

A decent 2nd Model Luftwaffe officer’s dagger, for an entry price. SOLD
