2nd Model Luft Officer’s Dagger by WKC – D978

For as prolifically of a edged weapon manufacture WKC was during the 3rd Reich era, you don’t often see all that many 2nd model Luft daggers. Here is a gorgeous example in this offering.

A beautiful dark orange grip begins the start of this fine edged weapon right off the bat. The Trolon material as well as the tightly wrapped decorative springy wire surrounding it, are in wonderful condition. The handle is just a tad lighter on the reverse, than what you see on the obverse. It remains in outstanding condition, being void of any splits, cracks, chips, or missing material. The natural aluminum fittings consisting of the crossguard, ferrule, and pommel, have taken on a darker patina in the recesses of each component that sets off this entire hilt in the most appealing way!

The scabbard to this fine edged weapon is just as stunning as that beautiful hilt assembly which began the description of this dagger. It remains straight, void of any hits, bends, creases, or splits. A killer dark and almost black patina graces both sides of this shell, and looks absolutely fantastic! But look at the brighter hand enhanced bands, and how they contrast the rest of the scabbard. It’s just an indescribable gorgeous look that you rarely get with one of these 2nd models.

The blade…..and it’s a beauty! One little minor surface imperfection in the area of the trademark, and that’s basically it.

One truly sweet, 2nd Model Luftwaffe officer’s dolch.    SOLD
