2nd Model Luft Officer’s Dagger by Weyersberg – D1080

I must say that the Weyersberg edged weapon firm manufactured some fantastic early 1st model Luft dagger as well as sword, and that certainly carried over to their 2nd model examples as well. Take a look at the one in this offering. The blade is so mint I had a hard time photographing it without getting one reflection or another, no matter what way I posed the dagger. Anyway, here it is.

A lighter yellow Trolon grip on this hilt of this dagger is a sheer beauty in every respect. It is near perfect condition, void of any cracks, splits, chips, or even any stains. Tightly wrapped the entire handle is the springy variety wire that this firm was known to use on their grips. The decorative strands are all firm and snug, tightly set in the grooves of the material. The pommel, ferrule, and crossguard have taken on a beautiful muted patina over their surfaces, with all 3 components matching to a tee. And speaking of the pommel, take a look at the gilt to the swastikas on both sides. There were only a couple edged weapon firms who took this extra process, with Weyersberg being one. That extra step on this component has held up nicely and rates a strong 90%.

A wonderful scabbard accompanies this Luftwaffe officer’s dagger. It remains straight, void of any bends, splits, dings, hits, or dog legs. A dark patina has settled over most of the surface, though you can see near the top where the original factory lacquer covers quite a bit of that area and still intact. Another testament to the quality that this edged weapon firm put into their products that they manufactured and sold. Both scabbard bands are in place, and hold the hanger rings properly.

Only one word can describe the blade on this gorgeous 2nd model: STONE MINT………….oops, I guess that was 2 words

This is a sweet dolch, in every sense of the word. I kid you not!  SOLD
