24″ Railroad Eagle – G268

Though the manufacture has never been identified as to which foundry was involved in producing the so-called “GPH” eagle, there is no doubt about it, the ones which they made are some of the absolute finest! You can see that fact in just the smoothness of this particular example shown in the photos. An attractive muted patina covers the exterior of this rail eagle, with subtle darkening in the recesses. As the title states, this is a 600mm (24″) eagle in this listing, the most common size encountered by collectors. Though all 4 studs have been evenly cut on the reverse, there still remains a small portion of the threads to each fastener. There is a tight-laced strand of nylon cord around each of the studs in order to display this beautiful example. $3995.00
