24″ Railroad Eagle by LOK – G224
If you’ve been in searching for a railroad eagle with what I call “the look”, reel this one in. As it definitely has that appeal, and a whole bunch more! This LOK 600mm eagle was manufactured during the 3rd Reich by the Pinter molding company, a firm well known to produce the lion’s share of these plaques during the era. As you can see, the entire obverse is coated with a totally black soot and dust, giving this eagle an absolute killer striking appearance. The reverse side exhibits a brighter contrast of the factory silver paint coating on it’s entire surface. As you can see, all 4 studs have been broken on this example when it was taken as a souvenir. As a result the right wing of the eagle has a small hole in it. Finally, the maker’s marks and chemical make up symbols are shown on the left reverse; PS, LOK600, GAL-Mg-Si. SOLD
