1st Model Gravity Knife by Weyersberg – D816

This is a beautiful 3rd Reich FJ paratrooper’s knife, in every respect. The lighter colored oak grip plates are in excellent condition, displaying very little age what so ever. They remain riveted solid to the hilt, and fitted with precision. The plating to the metal components has held up real decent. With the only age being a couple ticks on the obverse side of the end cap. A nice stiff spring extends the marlin’s spike, which is properly stamped with the eagle / 5 Waffenampt at the knee. The release lever works like it should. It extends and retracts the blade with a nice firm pressure push. A gorgeous blade completes this gravity knife. It is full length, unsharpened, with a fantastic crossgrain running down both sides. This is a desirable early Weyersberg gravity knife shown with the double oval sword logo on the obverse. With the addition of the word, Rostfrei.  An excellent 1st model FJ all the way around.   SOLD
