On the obverse of the medal is a depiction of the War Merit cross with pebbled arms and in the center is an oak leaf wreath and swastika. On the reverse in German is ‘Fur Kriegsverdien 1939’ meaning ‘For War Merit 1939’. All include an original ribbon that is about 3 inches in length.
